Like A Virgin, Not Really – Episode 105

EPISODE 105

It’s time for another Malbec show, and this variety really is a treat.  There’s so much of this variety now being made across the Northwest, and by the end of tonight’s show we accomplish two major feats!  First, you’ll have the names of two locally made Malbecs, and second, there’s one less Malbec virgin on the panel.  Losing your virginity has never been this…well…maybe you should fill in the right word.   The wine was delicious, and so were this episode’s Twitter hash tags:

#Malbec  #MalbecVirgin  #SamElliottWine  #wine  –— Use these as you Tweet about @NWWineNight

WINE FEATURED IN THIS EPISODE:  To make it easier for you to follow along and make a few notes, we’re going to tell you something the panelists NEVER know until they pick their favorites: The names of the wines, and which is number one, and which is number two…

1.——–2012 Malbec – Icon Cellars, Carnation WA & Woodinville Tasting Room

2.——-2011 Malbec – Carpenter Creek Winery, Mt Vernon WA

Host Brian Calvert (Twitter @BrianCalvert), who is heard on KOMO Newsradio and seen on KOMO News, enlists his friends in Northwest media and wine-making circles to be on each panel.  At the table this week:

Marina Rockinger (Twitter @MarinaRockinger) heard on Star 101.5fm in Seattle

Jane Shannon  (Twitter @JaneShannon) heard afternoons on KOMO Radio

Kristi Waite (Twitter @KristiWaite) of Q13 Fox News

Corwin Haeck (Twitter @Corwin_Haeck) of KOMO Newsradio

FILMING LOCATION:   We’re filming this week in the gorgeous DeLille Chateau in beautiful Woodinville Wine Country.   DeLille Cellars has a tasting room in the Hollywood District, and special thanks to Greg, Jay, and Russell for being terrific hosts this evening!
