Northwest Wine Radio – “It’s Chelan with a ‘T’ & No ‘O’ in Huston” (ep177)

(2017) We spend some time this week re-discovering the delicious wine made in Idaho, and end-up stumbling upon Huston Vineyards.  They’re the fun people who live on Chicken Dinner Road.  No joke…they even have the label to prove it!

And if you thought they spelled Houston a little different, wait until meet our Chelan wine makers.  They go really “old school” with the spelling of Tsillan Cellars (yes, it’s pronounced “Chelan”).

Fortunately, our guest brewer throws no spelling curve balls.  They just make really good beer at Bale Breaker Brewery.

All this, plus Master of Wine Bob Betz of Betz Family Winery stops by to answer our wine questions, Justin Stiefel of Heritage Distilling Company mixes-up our “Drink of the Week.” and Chef Kathy Casey joins us with a fun food pairing featuring wine, craft beer, and spirits!
