Lions & Tigers & Fruits, Oh My! – Episode 109

We had two bottles of delicious Merlot at the table for tonight’s show, and each bottle took us so many places.  First, we went to the circus, and the wines were compared to the traditional big top as well as the Vegas style spectacles.  If you’re thinking “What does the circus have to do with wine?” you’re not alone.  But we sure had fun trying to figure it out.  I  The wine was delicious, and so were this episode’s Twitter hash tags:

WINE FEATURED IN THIS EPISODE:  To make it easier for you to follow along and make a few notes, we’re going to tell you something the panelists NEVER know until they pick their favorites: The names of the wines, and which is number one, and which is number two…

1.——–2011 Merlot – Dubindil Winery, Snohomish WA

2.——-2013 The Velvet Devil – Charles Smith Wines, Mattawa WA

Host Brian Calvert, who is heard on KOMO Newsradio and seen on KOMO News, enlists his friends in Northwest media and wine-making circles to be on each panel.  At the table this week:
