Warehouse Wine – Episode 81

Who knew you could find so much delicious wine in the middle of an industrial area?   This is the first of several episodes we filmed in the Warehouse Wine District in Woodinville…home to dozens of local winemakers.   On tonight’s show, we tasted a couple of really good bottles of White Blend.  And we sure fooled our stars, who guessed everything BUT a blend.  Also great to have our friend Denise back at the table for the first time this season!  The wine was delicious, and so were this episode’s Twitter hash tags:

WINE FEATURED IN THIS EPISODE:  To make it easier for you to follow along and make a few notes, we’re going to tell you something the panelists NEVER know until they pick their favorites…the names of the wines, and which is number one, and which is number two…

1.———2012 Winemakers White – Maryhill Winery, Goldendale WA     (Chardonnay and Semillon)

2.——–2012 Wysling Band of Sisters – Parejas Cellars, Grandview WA (Marsanne and Roussane)

PANELISTS:  Host Brian Calvert, who anchors the news weekend mornings on KOMO Newsradio, enlists his friends in Northwest media to be on each panel.  At the table this week:

Marina Rockinger (Twitter @MarinaRockinger) heard on Star 101.5fm in Seattle

Sandra Lee (Twitter @WoodinvilleWine) Madame President of Woodinville Wine Country

Corwin Haeck (Twitter @Corwin_Haeck) reporter, KOMO Newsradio

Denise Whitaker  (Twitter @DeniseOnKOMO) morning reporter for KOMO 4 News

FILMING LOCATION:  We’re once again filming in beautiful Woodinville Wine Country.  For this episode, we’re at Barrage Cellars in the heart of the Warehouse District.  Special thanks to Kevin and crew who were great hosts.  Go try their wine next time you’re in Woodinville!

THANKS FOR WATCHING!  Be sure to share this episode with your other wine-drinking friends.  We release new episodes EVERY Thursday during the course of our season.  And keep in mind if you’d like to be introduced to the great liquor and beer being made in the Northwest, we have siblings for that!  Be sure to check out both Northwest Beer Night and Northwest Liquor Night.

The next new episode of Northwest Wine Night: The Internet Show will premiere right here on the website, Thursday, November 13th.
