NW Wine Night Radio Ep 33

There’s some serious recruiting to get the best wine making talent here in the Pacific Northwest.  And in a Washington  first:  A Napa winemaker has been lured to Woodinville!  Force Majeure Cellars owner Paul McBride has snagged California winemaker Todd Alexander, and they both join us to talk about why Washington wine was so attractive to Todd.

Will you be celebrating anytime soon?  In France, it’s known as champagne, everywhere else, we call it Sparkling Wine.  Kim Kramer of Kramer Vineyards in Gaston, Oregon joins us to talk about all their varieties, and how they’re putting a unique spin on classic bubbly.

It’s liquor-making that’s all in the family!  Two brothers and one of their sons join forces, and the end result is Double V Distillery in Battle Ground, Washington.  John and Steve Vissotzky and John’s son Nick Vissotzky (pictured above) all join us with how this craft distillery got it’s start, and how it’s blossomed into one of the region’s larger producers.

You can catch a new episode of Northwest Wine Night Radio every week on stations across the Pacific Northwest.  And if you miss an episode, we post them them on Mondays here at NorthwestWineNight.com
