That’s Slightly “Tanninish” – Episode 58

Here it comes:  Another episode of Northwest Wine Night where we introduce you to a new wine term.  The reason it’s new?  Because one of our panelists made it up!  The new term was inspired by one of the two great bottles of Cabernet Sauvignon we had on this episode.  The wine was delicious, and so were this episode’s Twitter hash tags:

#CabernetSauvignon #Chewy #Tanninish  —  Use these as you tweet about @NWWineNight

WINE FEATURED IN THIS EPISODE:  To make it easier for you to follow along and make a few notes, we’re going to tell you something the panelists NEVER know until they pick their favorites…the names of the wines, and which is number one, and which is number two…

1.———–2008 Cabernet Sauvignon, Madsen Family Cellars, Olympia WA

2.———-2009 Cabernet Sauvignon, Mackey Vineyards, Walla Walla WA

PANELISTS:  We’re joined this time by regular favorites Marina Rockinger of Star 101.5 in Seattle and Denise Whitaker of KOMO 4 News.   Corwin Haeck of KOMO Newsradio returns for more wine, as does the always fun Kelly Koopmans of KOMO 4 News.

FILMING LOCATION:  We’re up on the hill overlooking Woodinville Wine Country.  It’s hard to decide the most beautiful place on this property…is it the indoor setting, or the fabulous outdoor spaces?  Either way, JM Cellars is a must see on your next trip to Woodinville.

THANKS FOR WATCHING!  Be sure to share this episode with your other wine-drinking friends.  We release new episodes EVERY Thursday during the course of our season.  And keep in mind if you’d like to be introduced to the great liquor and beer being made in the Northwest, we have siblings for that!  Be sure to check out both Northwest Beer Night and Northwest Liquor Night.

The next new episode of Northwest Wine Night will premiere right here on the website Thursday, April 17th.
