A Different Kind of Wine Night – Episode 41

This is our first episode in which we change things up just a bit.  The show is a little shorter, and gets right to the point of tasting great wine.  The shorter length makes it much easier to watch on your terms!  For episode 5, we’re introducing you to a couple of Northwest-made White Blends.  It’s a tough category for the panelists, because everyone who makes a White Blend has their own take on a White Blend.  Still, as you can imagine, we managed to get through it just fine, haha.  The wine was delicious, and so were this episode’s Twitter hash tags:

WINE FEATURED IN THIS EPISODE:  To make it easier for you to follow along and make a few notes, we’re going to tell you something the panelists NEVER know until they pick their favorites…the names of the wines, and which is number one, and which is number two…

1. 2011 Orinana – Brian Carter Cellars, Woodinville WA

2. 2014 Hot To Trot – 14 Hands Vineyards, Paterson WA

PANELISTS:  We’re joined this time by regular favorites Travis Mayfield of Sinclair Broadcasting and Marina Rockinger of Star 101.5 in Seattle.  Making her maiden voyage on Northwest Wine Night is Kristi Waite, Internet Goddess at KOMO.  And we’re pleased to introduce you to another new face:  Andrew Januik of Novelty Hill Januik.

FILMING LOCATION:  We’re in the heart of Woodinville Wine Country.   Talk about a beautiful place, we’re at the incomparable Novelty Hill Januik tasting room, in their beautiful private room (it’s available for your next party!)  Thanks so much to everyone at Novelty Hill Januik who made this such a great night of filming!

THANKS FOR WATCHING!  Be sure to share this episode with your other wine-drinking friends.  We release new episodes EVERY Thursday during the course of our season.  And keep in mind if you’d like to be introduced to the great liquor and beer being made in the Northwest, we have siblings for that!  Be sure to check out both Northwest Beer Night and Northwest Liquor Night.

The next new episode of Northwest Wine Night will premiere right here on the website Thursday, November 14th.
