Northwest Wine Radio – “WA Wine with a Splash of Argentina” (ep182)

(2017) Wine made in the Pacific Northwest has actually been inspired by many other parts of the globe.  Case in point, young winemaker Andrew Januik of Andrew Januik Wines just got back from another harvest in South America, and he shares with us how that experience will be evident in future bottles of his wine.

We also talk about the trouble some California winemakers had this past harvest because it got so hot down south over the summer.  Plus, we meet the guys at Summit To Sound Brewing out of Snohomish.  It’s another amazing story of how being in the right place, at the right time, can yield some really good beer!

All this, plus Master of Wine Bob Betz of Betz Family Winery stops by to answer our wine questions, Justin Stiefel of Heritage Distilling Company mixes-up our “Drink of the Week.” and Chef Kathy Casey joins us with a fun food pairing featuring wine, craft beer, and spirits!
